PHASE-IN PHASE-OUT MANAGEMENT

Abstract:

The process of Aircraft transition, such as phase in, phase out or redelivery, sale, etc., is a complex one and often draw a lot of emotion from all parties involved. A well-organized process is necessary to ensure all of parties involved can effectively address the range of issues associated with aircraft transition, especially redelivery or lease return.

The best lease return process starts at aircraft delivery in the beginning and continues through the return of the aircraft, with final preparations takes three to six months prior to the end of lease date. There are number of critical tasks in this process, such as managing technical records, ensuring the aircraft’s condition meets the lease return requirements, including component age and the remaining maintenance life on engines and other hard-time components and not to forget the physical condition of the aircraft itself. It is very manpower intensive, requires a broad technical and operational skill set and frequently involves robust negotiations between parties. With this background, this seminar will discuss matter relating to aircraft transition from pre purchase inspection to the complexity of lease return or redelivery.
