Airline Engineering has become one of the essential elements for Airline Industries, mainly to create standards for Airworthiness Requirement or Continuous Airworthiness Management (CAM) throughout the aircraft operation life-cycle. To perform this function both effectively and efficiently, the Airline Engineering activity is divided into three roles. The first role is to develop an initial maintenance program and maintenance packaging before the start of aircraft operation. It is based on prescribed configuration and the type of maintenance concepts set by the airline operation. The second role is to optimally maintain continuous airworthiness during the day-to-day aircraft operation. The role include OEM & NCAA instruction implementation (CAM function), alteration-repair design proposal (DOA function), proper PMA parts utilization (PMA function), and reliability control for fleet, engine, component, structure, and cabin (RCP function). Lastly, the third role is to prepare all aircraft data and documentation during phase out phase. It is to guarantee that the aircraft is at the highest airworthiness level possible, ready for sale to a prospective buyer.
GMF AeroAsia Engineering Services currently has complete capability to support this life-cycle management. Our Engineering Services have high-level of expertise in currently-running CAM for 4 operators, Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, BBJ2 presidential flight, and Max Air. This is supported by holding the approval for designing alteration/ modification and repair under DGCA DOA and EASA DOA, and DGCA PMA. GMF AeroAsia is aiming to expand the DOA & PMA Term of Approval (Scope, product category, privilege, and limitation) in the upcoming years to provide optimum services according to the costumer needs.
