AOC engineering has a broad range of tasks to support aircraft operation. One of the main tasks is to develop a maintenance program to meet requirements of aircraft operation in terms of safety, airworthiness, and quality; these requirements are to be achieved with minimum cost. This Maintenance program is developed based on tasks proposed by the manufacturer. In developing maintenance tasks, manufacturer involved authority and experts from operators.
For operators that have specific requirements in the cabin to support their operation, AOC engineering develops maintenance program specific for cabin. To be effective and efficient, implementation of a maintenance program need to be evaluated regularly. Reliability Control Program will also improve maintenance program by using operation data of the aircraft. Another main task of AOC engineering is to perform configuration control such as AD compliance control, SB and modification control status, and component. Component configuration control makes sure the components installed on aircraft are effective and the hours/cycle of the component are controlled for specific tasks on components.
In order to support aircraft operation, AOC engineering develops methods to perform predictive maintenance. This is achieved by data collection, monitoring trends of the data and giving recommendations before the problem occurs causing aircraft operation irregularities.
