RFID Solution for Cabin Emergency Equipment Configuration

Abstract:

Inspecting aircraft’s emergency equipments (existence, manufatured date, and expiration date) manually is time consuming. Human errors factor such as unreadable handwriting and wrong part number reading often reduce the quality of inspection data. Other problems like worn out label could hold up the inspection process and affect the data quality.

Using RFID tags attached on aircraft’s emergency equipments to identify the existence, part number, expiration date, maunfactured date, and expiration date. Reducing the manhours required to perform such work. And also reducing the human errors factor thus improving the quality of enterprise data.
